ABOUT CINDY

Art Begins With Seeing Things Differently

Creating original artwork inspired by nature, imagination, unusual ideas, and the people who are willing to dream a little differently.

Living among the high deserts, open skies, sagebrush, mountains, and wildlife has given Cindy Roth an endless source of inspiration. Sometimes an idea begins with something beautiful. Other times, it begins with something completely ordinary viewed from an entirely different perspective.

And sometimes, the best ideas begin with you.

Meet Cindy Roth

An Artist Inspired by the World Around Her

Cindy’s creative process often begins far away from the canvas.

Living in the high desert and spending countless hours wandering through nature with a trusty German Shepherd nearby, Cindy has learned that inspiration can appear almost anywhere. A shape in the landscape, an unusual tree, the movement of an animal, a changing sky, or something that most people might simply walk past can become the beginning of an entirely new piece of artwork.

Those quiet hours outside give her the opportunity to observe the world differently.

For Cindy, creating art is not simply about reproducing what she sees. It is about imagining what something could become.

A sagebrush viewed from only a foot above the ground may suddenly resemble an enormous alien tree. Add the strength of an eagle, a little imagination, and the mystery of a mythical bird, and an entirely new world begins to take shape.

That sense of discovery is at the heart of Cindy’s artwork.

Inspiration is Everywhere

Sometimes You Just Have
to Change Your Perspective

The landscape surrounding Cindy provides an almost endless collection of colors, textures, shapes, shadows, animals, and unexpected details.

But inspiration does not always announce itself.

Sometimes it is hidden inside something familiar.

Cindy enjoys looking beyond the obvious and imagining possibilities that may not exist anywhere except in the mind. A familiar landscape can become another world. An ordinary animal can become something mythical. Colors can be exaggerated, shapes can change, and completely unrelated ideas can suddenly belong together.

It is that freedom to experiment that makes creating art exciting.

There does not always need to be a logical reason why something belongs in a painting.

Sometimes the only reason needed is:

“Wouldn’t that look amazing?”

And that is usually where the fun begins.

From Imagination to Canvas

Where Strange Ideas
Are Always Welcome

Some artists begin with a perfectly defined plan.
Cindy often begins with a possibility.

A color combination. A photograph. An animal. A memory. A landscape. A strange shape. A story. Or simply an idea that refuses to leave her imagination.

Those individual pieces slowly begin coming together until the personality of the artwork starts revealing itself.

That willingness to explore is especially important when creating custom pieces. Instead of forcing every project into a particular style or formula, Cindy enjoys discovering what makes each idea unique.

Sometimes that means making changes along the way. Sometimes it means trying something unexpected. And sometimes it means following an idea simply because it feels right.

The result is artwork that feels personal, original, and completely different from something produced hundreds or thousands of times.

Art Should Feel Personal

More Than Something
That Matches the Sofa

Artwork can certainly make a room more beautiful, but Cindy believes the best pieces do something more.

They create a connection.

Maybe a painting reminds you of a favorite place. Perhaps it captures the personality of an animal you love. Maybe the colors simply make you happy every time you walk into the room.

There is no rule saying that you have to understand exactly why a particular piece speaks to you.

Sometimes you simply know.

That emotional connection is part of what makes original artwork special. It becomes more

A Trusty Muse

Every Artist Needs a Little Help

Cindy may be the one holding the brush, but she is rarely without a little creative supervision.

German Shepherds have long made excellent companions for Cindy’s wandering adventures through the high desert. Their curiosity, loyalty, personality, and willingness to explore make them surprisingly effective artistic assistants.

Whether they are providing inspiration, encouraging another walk, or simply keeping Cindy company while she searches for the next unusual idea, they have become part of her creative world.

“Cindy recommends finding your own muse.”

Although she admits she may be slightly biased about which breed works best.
